ABSURD Magazine Interview with Polo Don Red

You just recently charted at #10 on Reggae iTunes Chart songs with “Dutty Wine”(feat. Shadoe) How does that feel?

It feels great, almost unbelievable.

Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?

I am from a small place on the map called Meridian Mississippi. It was a struggle but each and every obstacle was worth it.

What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?

 I want people to understand the message and meaning.

Any new music coming out soon? 

Believe it or not I drop new music every month.

What is your greatest achievement as a musician? 

I have a few achievements. Charting #10 on iTunes Reggae Charts, my documentary Heaven After Hell: The Polo Don Red Story on Amazon Prime, over 5 million streams on my music, going on tour and staying consistent.

What are 3 words that describe your music? 

Dance, Nightlife and fun.

Which qualities do you think make a great musician?

I know how to get a crowd on the dancefloor.
