RodThaGreat Is On The Rise With His New EP

Although artists come and go in this current generation of music, one artist that stands out amongst the crowd is a young 19-year-old artist who goes by the alias of "RodThaGreat. " "The Art Of Slumber" was dropped independently on 10/15 and serves as a sequel to RodThaGreat's 2020 freshmen EP "Dark Nights Of The Soul." The only difference is that it's much stronger, and powerful lyrically and production-wise. Rod has assembled a small team of producers for this project with production from, That Boy Saem(most notable for the song 'Birthdays'), and NXTHN. Overall sonically, there is nothing like the songs on this EP. The intro track "Lights out" really brings us into the project, and sonically shows us what to expect.

The vibes that the track gives off make the listener pretty much feel what it's like to enter "The Art Of Slumber '' metaphorically. The first track sets the tone in a very clever way, which serves as a creative play on the title. The second track on the EP "The Fever Dream" has such a refreshing fun sound to it. RodThaGreat manages to create something conscious, yet has the potential to be a mainstream song that can pretty much be played in ANY environment from radio, clubs, and the comfort of the dark domain of your bedroom.

Every track on the EP leads into the next and even has a dope standout verse on 'Daisy Of Death' from upcoming Houston artist "YungSireTheBuddha", which elevates the track as the two MCs spit ferocious bars about the afterlife, their mission in this lifetime, and coming back for revenge on whoever whatever attempts to stop them. RodThaGreat is a standout amongst this current wave of rap artists, and his latest body of work proves that he definitely has what it takes to be a powerhouse rapper. He has the ability to make music conscious, yet thoughtful, entertaining, and electric sounding that leaves you wanting more by the end of it. The project has great potential to become increasingly popular and develop into something bigger as time goes on. The Art Of Slumber is available everywhere!
