Meet Frederick Tabiyus Nah IV, CEO Of Phoenix 4 Productions
Atlanta Native Frederick Tabiyus Nah IV is an award-winning filmmaker & music artist who has emerged as a significant force within the entertainment industry. He is the son of Bishop Frederick and Pastor Karen Nah. In 2016, his parents were given the Lifetime Achievement Award by former President Barack Obama for their service in the Ministry and Missions in Liberia.
Tabiyus has been involved in over 100 stage/film productions, directed 50 productions, and choreographed 5 showcases. Tabiyus’ talent has paved the way for opportunities to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the industry, including music director Kimberly Burse who directed Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, and Ciara, Entertainment Mogul Herman Flores, D.I.F.F.A (Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids), and Make-a-Wish Foundation, to name a few…
At the age of 14, Frederick started expanding his gifts through writing, dancing, choreographing, & other performing arts. Frederick received the Regional 7AAAAA Dramatics Arts Medal for his portrayal as Malcolm X. Along with other talents, Tabiyus performed at Disney Epcot. In 2007 Tabiyus also had the honor to perform at the Phillips Arena & was inducted into the International Thespian Honors Society. Following graduation in 2008, Tabiyus was seen in Kenny Leon’s True Color's Theater Company Production of The Amen Corner at the Alliance Theater. He was part of the board of directors and a performance coach at CHOZEN Talent Development Agency & held the position as choreographer and director at Perimeter Dramatics Arts Academy where he worked on productions such as Disney Broadway Review, Aladdin & Mulan
Tabiyus served 8 years as the Director of Music for Divinity Church International. Some of this organization’s accomplishments have included participation in Atlanta's 2008 D.I.F.F.A by Design AIDS Charity & working alongside Brian Littrell from Backstreet Boys with the Divinity International Choir. In the summer of 2009, Tabiyus birthed out of Divinity, Phoenix 4 Productions which produced theatrical plays & seasonal concerts such as Annual Voices of Christmas. He has also participated in a few shows, including The CW’s The Vampire Diaries, and Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural.
As an entrepreneur, Tabiyus opened up DYNAMIC “Cultural Arts & Community Center” to the public where he taught voice, acting, and performance In 2012 Tabiyus gained national recognition and was selected to participate in Olivier Campergue’s NCAA March Madness commercial ad campaign, “Brackets Everywhere,”. The creative campaign that also included Big Boi from OutKast, Conan O’Brien, Kevin Hart, Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, and HLN’S Robin Meade amongst others, ran across TBS, CBS, TNT, and truTV, as well as CNN, HLN, Airport Network, CBS Outernet Partners, and across Turner Digital, which includes SI.com and NCAA.com.
Following the success of creative storytelling, in 2013, along with Phoenix 4 Productions, Tabiyus partnered with Global Awareness Company One Billion Rising and was the key co-producer and Assistant Director to the highly acclaimed Music Video “Rise Up” directed by Chad Tennies. Tabiyus joined Trios De Media was selected and part of the Marketing/Advertisement team for the Tony Award-winning Musical Production of FELA Produced by Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Jay Z when it was showcased at the Renowned Fox Theater. In 2014, Phoenix 4 Productions won over 11 consecutive awards for short films "Musical Therapy", "Sanity", & "Tragically Beautiful" in Atlanta, GA & Los Angeles. Over the course of these projects, Phoenix 4 expanded its membership to over 50 people sectioned off into their divisions of Film, Music, Dance, Fitness, Post Production, & Writing. He was also selected for a Coca-Cola ad.
‘The RUN Saga’ was nominated for Best Independent Film at the Georgia World Congress Center & Received 3 nominations at the Mimi WideScreen Film Festival. The inspired indie movie has been adapted to a motion picture releasing Winter 2021.
In 2017, the We Are Now Atlanta (WANA) organization was founded by Tabiyus who gathered some of Georgia’s BEST in indie filmmaking highlighting their work and community achievements. The team behind WANA took the advice that Rob Hardy (CEO of Rainforest Entertainment) once gave: “If you have an idea just write it down, put it to script, and shoot it. Don’t wait on anybody just shoot it.”
Tabiyus released In his debut EP I Am Now in 2019, which can be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music, his musical appeal can be easily noticed. With these aims, Tabiyus will become the next global hit-maker and artist.
Tabiyus is now an emerging force within the Los Angeles entertainment industry, which is evidenced by his extensive resume and repertoire. In 2020 alone Tabiyus produced & directed over 20 productions, including four music videos reaching over a million views each. His film work including the recent entry “Artifice” can currently be streamed on Amazon Prime.
Throughout his career, Tabiyus has showcased his musical talent by performing with prestigious brands and famous music and sports venues in Los Angeles and Atlanta, Georgia. His most recent endeavor saw him on the lineup with multi-platinum recording artists Ice Cube, Mario, Miguel, Bryson Tiller, and Polo G at the Display Festival 2021.
His most recent endeavor is a collaboration with music artist-producer JET in which they produced a single titled “Dance For Me,” which is available to stream on every music-streaming platform. In conjunction with the release of the new single, Tabiyus Executive Produced his critically acclaimed film-themed music video. In one review RJ Melgar stated “More than a music video … It’s an experience”.
With the release of Dance For Me, Tabiyus formed Swerve Entertainment in partnership with Phoenix 4, narrating coming-of-age stories & music. Tabiyus has built an impressive team of next-generation industry leaders, and he dedicates himself to bringing him and his team to new heights.
