Kyle Dalton’s first solo album is more than just a personal milestone—it’s a chart-topping success. The Origins of the Album
The album’s origins trace back to Regret, a song co-written with Levi Stockton before the idea of a solo project even existed. When El Demonio heard it, he encouraged Dalton to expand the concept into a full album. Dalton then curated a mix of older, unreleased songs and new material to create a diverse yet cohesive record.
A Blend of New and Old Songs
Several tracks on the album have unique histories. Death of Me, originally written for Crimson Kiss, was repurposed, while So Fake and Bound found their rightful place on the album. Like a Disease, the only track written specifically for this release, features El Demonio in a Nu-metal-inspired rap/rock fusion reminiscent of Linkin Park.
Dalton’s Creative Control
Dalton took full control of the instrumentation, recording all guitar, bass, and synth parts himself while handling the mixing and mastering at Sinnister Studios. Though he performed vocals on So Fake and Like a Disease, he brought in an all-star lineup of guest vocalists, including members of KrashKarma, Morbid Justice, Escape the Badlands, and The Wedding Is Off.
Major Support and Future Prospects
With the support of Push Global and Creativ Records via The Orchard/Sony, Dalton’s album is proving to be a massive success. The overwhelming response has fueled speculation that another solo project is already in the works. If the charts are any indication, rock fans will be eagerly awaiting whatever Dalton creates next.
