CFLOW, known for pushing boundaries, describes Exodus 1414 as a "love letter to trap lovers," but more than that, it's a message to God's people. He acknowledges the unusual fusion of spirituality with a genre that isn't typically associated with religious nourishment, but he's confident in his mission: "People don’t go to trap for spiritual nourishment... so leave it to me (hold my beer)."
The EP's title, Exodus 1414, references a verse in the Bible, framing the project as both a personal update and a spiritual warning. CFLOW states, "Not a dime in my pocket nor a dollar to my name, but no doubt of my trajectory... while proving a warning of the dangers of neglecting the spirit." His lyrics throughout the EP address themes of self-actualization, persistence, and faith, all wrapped in the gritty, high-energy sound of trap.
In the second track, "Moving Steady," CFLOW sets the tone, calling it "a burst of stamina," with lines like "It’s a blitz - of stamina!" that emphasize his relentless drive. His lyrics move from aspirational to reflective, showcasing his journey from nothing to something: "Came from nothing, still got nothing, watch it happen... gotta stack it."
CFLOW also redefines love in his own terms, not from a popular culture perspective but with a deeper spiritual understanding: "Love is patient, love is after the good of the latter, not the former." His emphasis is on the selflessness of love, the importance of humility, and the rejection of jealousy and strife.
Exodus 1414 features the work of several talented collaborators, including producer Cursed Sall, mix engineers Krooze and Sickjaxx, and mastering by JayXTurbo. Cover art was designed by the Creativ Records team, with Scripture narration by Patrick Bush-Hodge.
As CFLOW hints in the final track, "this ain’t even my final form," fans can expect more to come from this prolific artist. Together with Cursed Sall’s sharp production, Exodus 1414 is set to deliver a potent mix of trap music that’s as uplifting as it is hard-hitting.
